Since 1st December 2025, Thessa Prins has strengthened the team at Verschoor & Bras B.V. Thessa has over 25 years of experience in international shipping, surveys, and flag state inspections. With her background as a Master Mariner and Second Engineer, she combines both nautical and technical knowledge – a rare combination within the maritime world.

She specialises in damage assessments, technical ship inspections, incident investigations, audits (ISM / ISPS / MLC), and (pre-)vetting processes. With her extensive experience at, among other places, a classification society and under the Dutch flag, she possesses a thorough understanding of regulations, safety requirements, and operational processes on board.

With her analytical approach, pragmatic communication, and up-to-date knowledge of international maritime standards, she supports our clients with swift technical evaluations, accurate damage assessments, and clear reporting – exactly when it is most needed.
